Who are we
Thaumit Ltd was founded in 2013 by Samuel Wilson while he was studying an MEng degree in Robotics at the University of Reading.
Initially, Thaumit focused on website design, particularly the creation of content management systems which used databases to
dynamically create pages based on the person looking at the site.
While Thaumit does still manage websites, our focus is now on building solutions for use in R and D applications. We have a
large amount of experience building custom hardware, as well as developing software application for PCs, mobiles and virtual
reality systems. Our specialty is creating multi-element systems which work syncronously to provide effective solutions.
Our name is based on one of the first projects we completed, a smart glove which performed gesture recogniton for smart device
control. The term 'mit' pays homage to that first system, and as everyone knows a 'Thaum' is a unit of measurement for magic
(with one thaum being defined as the amount of magic needed to create a white pigeon or three billiard balls).
We are always excited to work at the cutting edge of technology, our passion is creating technology which falls under
Clarke's third law. We look forward to working with those who share our vision.
